Jeffrey A. Burkam

Jeff has extensive experience in the areas of domestic relations, custody disputes, property division disputes, criminal law, personal injury and complex litigation.

Jeff was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1952 and relocated to Delaware, Ohio in 1963. Jeff graduated from Wittenberg University in 1974 with a B.A. in History, Political Science and Education. Prior to receiving his degree from Capital University School of Law in 1979, he taught history and geography with the Groveport Madison School District. In 1978 and 1979, Jeff worked as a law clerk at the Tenth District Court of Appeal in Columbus, Ohio for Judge Dean Strausbaugh.

Jeff has been practicing law in Delaware, Ohio since 1980, including serving as Municipal Court Judge in 1995. Jeff is a member of the Delaware County Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association.

Jeff and his wife, Ann, who is a teacher with the Buckeye Valley School District, raised their two sons in Delaware. Their older son, Ben, is currently working as a doctor at Riverside Hospital and their younger son, Tom, is currently teaching first grade in Northern Michigan and serving as a volunteer firefighter. Jeff and Ann are enjoying their new role as grandparents. Jeff has been very active in community affairs, including the coaching of various athletic teams, involvement in political activity and church activities.
