Dennis, who joined the firm
in 1978, is the Director of the firm’s Employment and
School Law practice groups. He frequently speaks in the
school law area, having spoken to administrators, and
has made presentations to various Chambers of Commerce.
He has also been a speaker for the Ohio CLE Institute,
speaking to other lawyers, and is a former adjunct
instructor for Urbana College. Dennis has had
numerous articles published in the school law area.
Dennis also leads the firm=s Litigation practice group,
having litigated cases in many state and federal courts
and handled appeals to the Supreme Court of Ohio and
U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
He was born in Tiffin, Ohio,
served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in
1969. He obtained his B.S. in Business Administration
from The Defiance College, and in 1976 he received his
law degree from the University of Toledo.

Peer Review Rating of AV Preeminent® 5.0 out of 5, the
highest rating given, and has annually been included in
Columbus CEO magazine’s “Top Lawyers” in the
practice areas of labor and employment, litigation, and
appeals.
Dennis is admitted to
practice before all courts in Ohio and the United
States Supreme Court and has litigated in the United
States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the
United States District Court for the Southern and
Northern Districts of Ohio. He has been granted pro hac
vice admission, for the purpose of a single case, in
federal court in Boston, Chicago, and Orlando, as well
as a California state court.
He is a member of the Ohio
State and Delaware County Bar Associations and is past
chairperson of the Ohio State Bar Association School
Law Committee.
Dennis and his wife,
Roberta, reside in Columbus. They have three children
and several grandchildren and are active in the
community.
